You will receive 50MB of online media storage which you can use to upload and display your images, videos and audio works. We also offer an easy to use biography tool to create your Artist CV with additional information like images, videos and audio files.

Who can become a member?

Anybody who makes art. We are open to all genres and mediums and would love to see samples of your work.

I don't plan on showing my art, can I still become a member?

Yes. You won't be able to leave critiques, but you can contact other members and post comments.

Subscription Fees

How much is a subscription?

$7 USD per month for 50MB of media storage. You can pay month to month or for a year at a time.

Why isn't this free?

In order to provide you with the best quality service with very limited advertising we unfortunately have to charge you money.

I have a Trial Membership which expires in a few months, where do I set up my payment information?

You will be contacted via email before your Trial Membership expires with information on how to set up this information.

Presenting Work

What kind of media files can I upload to my portfolio?

JPG or GIF images, QuickTime video and MP3 audio.

Is there a limit to the number of media files or works that I can present on culturehall?

We do not have a limit for the number of media files or works you can create. With well compressed images you could list several hundred files. Video and audio files tend to be larger. We leave this up to you.

Can I post images, videos, etc. of things other than my art?

You can. Members have two places to display media content, their works and their biography. We suggest that your work related media should be just that, which would include various views or production stills of your work, video of you talking about your work, gallery openings, etc. Media content that you add to your biography is intended to be much more open. Add your favorite song, video clips of you and friends, etc.

Do you scan slides and photos for members?

Not at this time. We may offer this service in the near future.

Critiques and Comments

I'm not a member, can I still add a critique or comment?

No. Critiques and comment are open only for members.

What's the difference between a critique and a comment?

Critiques are directly attached to an artwork and serve as an in-depth analysis of that work. You must be a member with one or more artworks available for critique to post a critique. Comments can only be added to a critique or another comment. These are open for all members and serve as a discussion evolved from a critique.
