If the Walls Could Talk, 2009
Wood, Drawing, Paint, Dimensions Variable
If the Walls Could Talk features a model rendered from memory of the neighborhood where Jackson grew up in Buffalo, New York. The installation combines sculpture and drawing to model the houses, lawns, streets and inhabitants of Jacksons childhood home. As well as rebuilding the neighborhood in miniature, Jackson recounts stories of some of her neighbors in a series of animated vignettes.
