The Humanity Organ contains twenty-one bottles of the ingredients used in the Humanity fragrance and a candle that burns an actual working draft of the fragrance. The drawing functions as a visual focal point in order to bring together sight and smell as a tool for meditation and compassion (like a mandala), while the structure functions as a perfumer’s organ, or the system of shelves which hold the perfumer’s ingredients.
