Work Theatre: Durational performance of work by actual people on stage.
For two weeks, M-F/9-5, laborers of all types performed their work on stage in a campus gallery. Workers bargained for their hourly wage for performing on stage. Performances ranged from 'mothering', to 'thinking', 'creating a space for love', and 'teaching poker'. Everything in the gallery was stolen or borrowed from the campus.
For one hour of precarious, informal work, performers were paid on average, $12.
