This work is a complex, real-time composition that integrates dance, music and live digital drawings. Using a system of infrared sensors, digital projectors, and tablet computers driven by custom software, lines are drawn on a tablet PC and are projected simultaneously on the dancer’s body. A dynamic partnership emerges between dancer and line. The body adds a breathing, undulating canvas, and the line animates the dancer and becomes a virtual partner.
