This painting is part of a planned installation in which a series of painted banners will suspend down from the ceiling to create an enclosed area within the gallery space. Inspired by classic circus sideshow banners of the past, the installation will objectify my experiences working as a performer and scenic artist for amusement institutions throughout the United States; businesses that procure a sense of joy and happiness through the remolding of reality.
